Whoaaaaah....

So it was rather surprising that I met Nelly through Friendster. And the fact that she still remembers me and sent me a message. It was like... whoahhhh. I feel bad. For all the bad things I've done to her back in secondary school. Heh. And she looks different now. Plus, she's currently studying at Trent University, wherever that place is at. So... yea, cool. I'm still stuck here...
 
And... I change my mind. I think Malaysian Idol does have some hope. Was watching the First Round, and I think they've got pretty good talents. Just one worry though. Nearly all the girls from the first group adopt the same style... you know... husky voice, r'n'b-influenced and shit like that. But that's ok cos I love r'n'b and husky voice rocks!
 
And yes, my favourite is Nikki. Yeah. She could do that high Mariah Carey thing, which is like... whoahhhh... where did that come from? It's cool. I hope she gets sufficient votes to go through to the next round. Plus, she looks Pinoy to me. Well....... not really. But I think she has tremendous talent though.
 
Oh yes, there's this one guy who sang... *weeps* My Baby You(!!!!!!!!) and I think he was just.... err... fine. I mean, the song arrangement just... like... killed the song. I mean, the guy sang the first 2 lines from the first verse then jumped to the chorus and then the bridge. It was like... a pre-mature ejaculation kind of thing. Whatever that means.
 
So, I was snooping around a site which has media files from all the Idol shows around the world. They had a media section for TurkStar which is the Turkish's version of American Idol. And what struck me as interesting is that there were a few contestants with the name Emre. Let's see. There's one guy called Emre, another one called Faruk Emre and the other one has the name Yusuf Emre. Which is like... cool. And the winner's name is Emrah. Hah. I'm guessing it's a she.
 
And the 2nd placed winner is this hugely obese female named Simge who chose to sing Maria Maria as one out of her four songs for the finals. Which is.... weird. Cos Maria Maria is sung by a male singer, so... yeah. Heh. Plus, she sounds like she's singing Turkish rather than English, which........ I kind of expected. Hee hee. And there's this one cool Turkish song called Tavla. Wo!
